Richard Corbett MEP is hosting a copy of the 'Stop the European City Guide' website from http://www.stopecg.org.

The so-called European City Guide is one of a family of mailing scams that target businesses all over Europe. These scams work by indiscriminately distributing mass mailings to small businesses, attempting to fool them into signing a deceptive contract then hitting them with hefty bills and a ludicrously short cancellation period.

The website 'Stop the European City Guide' provided detailed support for victims of the scam until it was forced offline by legal threats made against the site's service provider. Unwilling to allow the valuable content of this site to become permanently unavailable, several private individuals have offered to stand up to the scammers and host copies of the site using their own web space. Richard is one of them.
